Two men charged over assault
Two men have been charged after a third man was assaulted close to an Euxton pub.
The 31-year-old was allegedly kicked and punched.
He suffered cuts, grazes and bruises to his face, legs and elbow as well as having sore ribs after the incident on Friday night.
Police were called to the scene, close to the Bay Horse pub, in Wigan Road, at around 10.30pm after reports of a disturbance.
Paramedics were also called to assess the victim's injuries, but he declined hospital treatment.
Sgt Kevin Mountain, of Chorley Neighbourhood Police, told the Guardian: "Two men were arrested by police and they have been charged with assault causing actually bodily harm."
* A 20-year-old and 21-year-old, both from Euxton, are due before Chorley Magistrates on September 22. The condition of the victim is not known.
