A pensioner has been charged with a string of 14 sex offences, some dating back as far as the 1960s and 1970s.
Kenneth Atkinson, of Harrison Road, Chorley, is accused of several charges, including three acts of gross indecency with a boy, an indecent assault on a girl under 16, three of intentionally touching a woman sexually, two indecent assaults on women and five of inciting a person to commit sexual activity.
The 65-year-old entered no pleas to the charges when he appeared before Preston Magistrates’ Court.
The bench committed the case to Preston Crown Court.
He is expected to appear on Tuesday, and was given conditional bail not to enter the Chorley area or to have unsupervised contact with people under the age of 16.
