Two men are due to appear in court charged with assaults in Chorley pubs at the weekend.

Police were called to The Parkers Arms, in Park Road, at midnight on Saturday after reports that a man had assaulted two people.

Both victims are said to have suffered facial injuries.

Anthony Christopher, 26, of Longworth Street has been charged with two counts of assault and has been bailed to appear at Chorley Magistrates Court on February 1.

In a separate incident, a 24-year-old was also arrested on Saturday night at Kinetic, in Market Street, after a man was punched and had his teeth knocked out. Adam Telford, of Bolton Road, Adlington, faces one charge of assault and will also appear before magistrates on February 1.
