Merse tops charity dinner bill

Ex-England footballer turned Sky TV pundit, Paul Merson will top the bill at a Sportsman’s Dinner in aid of a Chorley charity.

The dinner, being held at the home of Blackburn Rovers, Ewood Park, on Friday, September 18, will raise funds for the Legacy Rainbow House, which provides services for children with disabilities.

Tickets are £32 and tables of 10 are £320, including a three-course meal created by Northcote’s Catering.

Merson earned 21 caps for England. He started his career at Arsenal in 1986 before moving to Middleborough, Aston Villa and Portsmouth followed by a number of clubs in the lower leagues.

Also on the bill is comedian Gary Skyner who was born physically disabled due to the drug, Thalidomide. Gary has carved a career out making people laugh. 

He is quick witted and rather risqué at times and thrives on audience banter.
