A young Chorley motorcyclist is in a serious condition in hospital after his bike collided with a pedestrian in Charnock Richard.
The Air Ambulance was called to the scene at 1.30pm in Charter Lane on Sunday.
The 21-year-old motorcyclist was airlifted to the Royal Preston Hospital and police have described his condition as ‘serious’.
It is believed he suffered injuries to his leg and has had to undergo emergency surgery.
A pedestrian, in her 50s, was also rushed to hospital, but her condition has now been described as stable.
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward and the road was closed until 6pm to allow investigations.
