A Chorley village is expected to come to a standstill when the funeral is held for a 13-year-old boy who died in a quarry.

Dylan Ramsay’s devastated family and friends will march behind his white coffin to the service on Wednesday, July 13.

They will each wear an item of pink to celebrate the year eight Parklands pupil’s favourite colour, and will have the opportunity to write a message on the casket before they say their final farewell.

The village of Whittle-le-Woods has been in mourning since the tragic death of the youngster, who was swimming in Hill Top Quarry.
