A host of activities are being held for youngsters in Chorley next week to keep them busy during half-term.

Chorley Council’s Get Up And Go scheme is offering fun, games and sports for children aged four to 12 to take part in over the week.

The activities include games and multi-skills, gymnastics, dance and street dance, arts and crafts, and bird box making.

There are also a range of sports on offer such as football, tennis, dodgeball, table tennis, handball and badminton .

And there is even a chance to try the latest sports craze known as footgolf, which combines the skills of football and golf.

Get Up And Go is the council’s activity programme for young people, which offers holiday camps, schools programmes,play programmes, education courses and workshops and more.

The fun will continue on Saturday with the popular Winter Playday.

There will be something for all the family with attractions including a Punch and Judy show, circus skills, interactive computer games, arts and crafts, balloon modelling and giant games.

The event will be held from 11am to 3pm in the Lancastrian at Chorley Town Hall and it is free to attend.
