Pendle Productions’ the Storytellers Theatre Company, supported by South Ribble Council, is bringing the much-loved tale of Pinocchio to Worden Park next week.
Setting up near the Arts and Crafts Centre, the outdoor show will take place on Monday, August 17, at midday and 2.30pm, starting in Geppetto’s little workshop before following the wooden puppet’s many adventures in his quest to become a real boy.
Pendle’s artistic director, Tim Lince, said: “Performing at Worden Park is like coming home. The actors have always commented on how fantastic the audiences are in Leyland.”
Families are encouraged to take picnics for the occasion, which will be staged under a covered marquee if the weather doesn’t look too good.
Tickets are £7 for children and adults, but one adult goes free with a family ticket of at least two children (£14).
Tickets can be booked at www.wordentickets.co.uk or ordered from the box office on 0800 7880526.
