Police appeal following cyclist collision

A cyclist was injured following a fail to stop collision in Adlington.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which happened on Bolton Road at around 1.20pm on Friday when the cyclist was clipped by a passing vehicle which failed to stop at the scene.

The cyclist, a 25 year old man, sustained injuries to his wrist, a black eye and cuts and bruises as a result of the collision.

PC 876 Glen Hilton, of South Road Policing Unit, said: “This incident happened near to the M61 bridge and I would appeal to any motorists who may have been in the area at the time and saw what happened to get in touch.”
