A Chorley school has been shut and exams cancelled after a fire.
The blaze broke out in a ground floor storage area in the main building at Holy Cross Catholic High School, Myles Standish Way, Chorley, at around 2am on Thursday.
Fire crews from Chorley, Bamber Bridge and Leyland spent four hours at the scene.
The fire destroyed the contents of the store and caused damage to the kitchens.
A statement on the school’s website said: “The school will be closed until Monday due to some minor damage caused by a small fire overnight. The Year Seven guidance evening and all exams have also been cancelled for the same reason.”
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
