Singing soldier JonJo Kerr is back in the running for a place on the X Factor.
The Chorley father-of-two was voted off the competition by his own judge Louis Walsh after a shock twist was announced for the opening live show.
However, he’s now been given a second chance after fellow contestant Frankie Cocozza’s shock exit earlier this week.
It means that for the first time the public will be able to vote for JonJo and his family are urging fans to pick up the phone.
Proud sister Siobhan Kerr said: “It’s completely crazy.
“The whole experience has been like a huge rollercoaster.
“One minute we were all on high when he made it to bootcamp, then judges houses and we were ecstatic when he made it through to the live shows, but hit rock bottom when he was voted off.
“Now our lives have been completely turned upside down again and I think we’re all just in shock.
“It’s not often you get a second chance as big as this.”
JonJo’s wife Melissa broke the news to the family after the infantry soldier was contacted by the show’s producers.
Siobhan added: “I couldn’t believe what I was hearing.
“JonJo has so much to give and at the end of the day this is his big dream and it would be unbelievable if he could get that last place.
“It makes it even more special that it is Remembrance Day this week with him being in the Army.
“He didn’t get the chance to show just how talented he is and we’re just hoping that people will pick up the phone and vote.”
The 29-year-old returned to Chorley for his first live performance after being voted off the show and is expected to be at the Christmas lights switch-on in Market Street on November 24.
Siobhan added: “JonJo is a genuinely nice guy and if anyone deserves this then he does.
“Being voted back on to the show could change his life completely and I hope the whole of Chorley gets behind him.”
Voting details are expected to be revealed tonight.
