Peter, of Astley, will perform as Frankie Valli – his show topping persona - to headline the Loud and Clear concert at Shaw Hill Golf Club, in Chorley, on Thursday, July 14.

All money will go towards Rosemere Cancer Foundation, club captain Hilary Powell’s chosen charity for the year.

Sharing the bill with Peter are comedian Iain Mack and vocalists Nicole Parkinson, who will perform a Cilla Black tribute, Sandy Ince and Kate Marsh. Tickets are priced at £15 each inclusive of supper and are available from the club on 01257 269221 or Hilary on 07988 886846, who can also be e-mailed at [email protected]

Hilary has already raised £2,000 for Rosemere this year through a Glam Girls Golf Evening in March, which she organised and hosted. It featured a fashion show and beauty demonstrations. Hilary decided to support Rosemere after losing a close friend, Susan Tattersall, who was aged just 42, to cancer 12 years ago and also as a tribute to her sister-in-law Sara Dickens, who has twice bravely battled cancer.

Rosemere Cancer Foundation spends the donations it receives on vital equipment, research and training that cannot be funded by the NHS.

The charity also funds those services that can make the cancer journey a little more comfortable such as free access to complementary therapies for all newly diagnosed patients.
