Chorley boxer Michael Jennings has vowed to dedicate a win on Friday in Glasgow against Doncaster's Jason Rushton to his late friend Neil Hardy.
Former bandmate Neil 'Ned' Hardy died on October 15 in a road accident in Ormskirk and the fight will be the first time Jennings has returned to the ring since the incident.
He said: "Ned loved boxing and he would have wanted to see me fight and win so I am determined to do that. Even though there is not a title at stake I know I have to win for myself more than anything as the fight in America with (Miguel Angel) Cotto for the WBO belt hinges on winning this one. I am a bit nervous as usual but I just want to get in the ring and win it."
