Chorley cricketer Tom Smith hit his highest ever first class score of 63 on Thursday on the second day of Leicestershire's match with Warwickshire.
The 22-year-old is currently on a loan spell from Lancashire, where his previous top score was 49.

Smith, who has impressed with both bat and ball during his loan spell, came to the Grace Road wicket with his team struggling at 221-6 but he put on 120 with HD Ackerman to help rescue the innings.

When he was finally out he'd faced 168 balls and hit nine fours.

Smith grew up playing for Chorley Cricket Club and his younger brother Billy still represents the 1st XI.
