Chorley FC's man of the moment Peter Collinge admits his spell out of the first team at the start of the season has helped improve him as a goalkeeper.
Collinge found himself warming the bench as Zac Jones produced some great displays at the start of the campaign, which saw him win the player of the month award for August.

However an injury to the former Blackburn shot-stopper against Woodley saw 22-year-old Collinge earn a chance to impress and since then he has gone on to take the player of the month himself for September.

Speaking to the Guardian, Peter said: "I am enjoying being back in the first team and when I was not playing with them the reserves offered me a chance to gain confidence."
