Double gold for Katie

An Astley Village-based runner has set her sights on further glory after striking gold in consecutive weekends.
A fortnight ago Katie Ingram was competing with the Great Britain fell racing team in Germany and was part of a trio who claimed gold overall in her first fell race abroad this year.
Katie, who celebrated her 23rd birthday last Saturday, said: "I came ninth in the competition and along with Sarah Tunstall and Victoria Wilkinson we managed to beat all the other nations there.
"It was really pleasing to finish so high up and some people have told us we were the first GB team to have won in that particular race in 10 years."
Katie followed up her success in Germany when she represented her country in the Snowdon International race last weekend and won again.
" I am now determined to use my experience at Snowdon to make the finals of the World Trophy in September."
After overcoming one of the toughest races on road and in the mountains in her career, Katie does not under-estimate the role of her coach Norman Matthews.
"He has helped me to progress in the past few months and am more hungry for success than ever," she said.
