Chorley FC boss Tony Hesketh is keen to go on a winning run to help boost the club's coffers – starting with Saturday's FA Cup preliminary tie against Atherton Laburnum Rovers at Victory Park.
The Magpies supporters will be keen to turn out in force after Chorley recorded their first league win of the season on Bank Holiday Monday against Radcliffe and Hesketh admits there is something special about the competition.
Hesketh said: "The FA Cup is a great occasion for giant killing and even though we have won our first game of the season, and may go in as favourites because we are in a higher division, it is not as simple as that.
"We will have to be patient at Victory Park and we respect Atherton and know they will be capable of a result on the day but we are still confident of winning."
Hesketh was impressed with the performance of his young players against Radcliffe Borough but was keen to quash supporters' hopes of winning the league.
He said: "We have got four points on the board and that is the main thing as the side is maturing and developing."
