Chorley squash fans will be able to cast their eye over local star Laura Lengthorn Massaro in an exhibition match against world number five Vicky Bothwright at the Next Generation Gym.
The charity match will take place on October 10 at 7pm and has been arranged to bring an end to National Squash week.

Lengthorn trains at the Next Generation Gym and the event will be ideal preparation for both players ahead of the World Championships held in Manchester the following week.

The world number eight said: "I normally take part in exhibition matches in other countries but I am excited as this will give some of my friends and family a chance to see me in action.

"They will be able to see how far I have come since I was young to now being in the top eight in the world and it is great being able to raise money for charity."

Bothwright and Lengthorn have met this season on two occasions and the Hoghton squash star has had the advantage this season by beating her in the Irish Open and Marsh Apawamis Open.

She said: "Even though we will not be screaming and shouting for every point in a competitive tour match it will still be a competitive match as we will want to put on a show for the crowd."

The event will raise money for England Squash's chosen charity 'Whizz-kidz' and there is a recommended donation price for the high-class event of £5.

For further information about the event contact development coach and Lauar's brother Chris Lengthorn on 07827343370.
