A Chorley gymnast was leaping for joy after getting presented with medals by one of her heroes Olympic star Beth Tweddle.
Eight-year-old Megan Collins celebrated her first County four piece championship competition in the eight and under pre-novice section and picked up silver on the beam, bronze on the bars and was runner-up county champion for her overall score.

Mother Catherine Collins said: "We are very proud of what she has achieved as she has been only doing it for 12 months at the St Helen's Centre for gymnastics.

"It was a really difficult event as the best gymnasts from Cheshire and Merseyside were all wanting to take home the medals. Being an Olympic gymnast they all look up to Beth and it was great to receive the medals from her."
