A group of young cyclists from the Mid Lancs BMX Club are gearing up to host rounds 10 and 11 of the National BMX Racing series on September 13-14.
Hundreds of riders from around the country will descend on the race track for the British Cycling Federation event and the club is keen to make the event a success.
Club secretary Lisa Clarke said: "We have been working hard as a club in preparation for the national event in two weeks.
"We have made some changes to the track on the last straight section and our riders will be hoping to use their knowledge of the course to their advantage like some of the riders who were from Peterborough at the British Championships.
"We are very proud of the club members who competed there, they achieved excellent results in age groups from seven years old to 40 years old and the majority achieved top eight places."
The racing on the day will start at 1pm on Saturday and 10am on Sunday when the Chorley Mayor Terry Brown will be attending to start the racing.
Anyone who wants further information about the event should contact the club on 01257 452461.
