Squad need to focus - Hesketh
Chorley boss Tony Hesketh says his side need to have more consistency if they are going to challenge for honours next season.
Speaking ahead of their final game against Bridlington on Saturday, Hesketh said he wants more performances like the weekend's' 4-1 win at Radcliffe Borough - and less like the 4-2 defeat by Rossendale the week before.
He said: "The squad has done well at the end of the season to stay in the league but half of the squad do not have the mentality of performing consistently at the minute.
"I blasted them after the Rossendale game and said it is no good winning one and losing three. The players have the ability but they need to start producing it on the pitch."
Hesketh will have a busy summer trying to freshen up the squad.
Hesketh will be keen to receive news during the summer on whether defender Tony Sparrow will be involved next season as he could be forced to head south with work commitments.
