A Coppull motorcross star has sampled both the ecstasy and agony of sport in just two days.
Enduro cyclist Paul Bolton travelled to Romania to take part in an international tournament in September and led the five-day event on the opening day by two laps.
However, his joy was to be short-lived as on his descent he damaged his cruciate ligament in his right knee and also suffered tears in his cartilage.
Paul competes in Enduro racing, which is motorcross trials but in a rally-style event where riders can challenge themselves on difficult terrains for up to eight hours a day.
He now faces an anxious wait for four weeks until he can undergo an operation on his knee but will be out of action for the rest of his season.
