CHORLEY CC skipper Andy Holdsworth and his squad are looking forward to a busy weekend with three games in as many days.

It comes on the back of a disappointing start to the season for the Windsor Park outfit as they try to better last season’s heroics of finishing third.

Holdsworth insists that it is going to be tough but he is confident they will come good.

He said: “I think we have an excellent group of players with a lot of ability!

“We just need more luck with the toss as the Fleetwood and Barrow games have both been heavily affected by losing the toss with the top order attempting to bat in extremely difficult conditions.

“With two quality spinners at our disposal we could do with dryer conditions to reap the benefits of Iain Critchley and Gaurav Dhar’s talents!

“The message is the same as it was at the start of the season patience, application and discipline whether it’s with bat, ball or in the field! “With a little more fortune performances will pick up and our season will be up and running!”

Chorley travel to Lancaster on Saturday followed by a cup game at Lytham on Sunday and round off the weekend at home against Morecambe.
