FA Women’s Premier League side Chorley Ladies have linked up with West Lancashire League club Euxton Villa in a ground-breaking partnership.

The collaboration of these two clubs will create a pathway for the current girl’s junior teams, mirroring the existing pathway for boys.

“This will be a partnership where we can strengthen girls’ football and build on the success of both clubs”.

This means girls and boys can play football at the same club from the age of four to open-age, where both senior teams play their football in the FA football pyramid.

It’s a very positive decision for both clubs, as it not only raises their profile but is a terrific boost for girls’ football in the area.

Euxton Villa chairman Graham Keyte said: “It’s a fantastic opportunity for girls ’football and I am really excited at the prospect of working with Chorley Ladies Football Club.

“This will be a partnership where we can strengthen girls’ football and build on the success of both clubs”.

This joint venture sends out a powerful message for aspiring footballers as it will create the foundation for local girls to compete against teams in the FA Premier League, with the ultimate aim of playing in the FA Women’s Super League.
