Chorley 1 Bolton Wanderers 1
Matt Jansen showed his quality with a late equaliser for Chorley on Friday night against Bolton Wanderers at Victory Park.
Garry Flitcroft's side were trailing 1-0 with just three minutes left when Steve Burke sent in an inviting cross into the visitors' box.
Former Blackburn Rovers striker Jansen scored with a bicycle kick to send most of those in the 808 crowd home happy.
It was a fitting reward after an excellent game and came at the end of the best move of the match.
Debutant Shelton Payne, who following his introduction ripped through the visitors' defence with his scintillating pace, put Burke free on the right flank.
He crossed perfectly into the box to Jamie Vermiglio, who nodded the ball to Jansen who then bicycle kicked the ball home.
Earlier Bolton, who included Nicky Hunt in their numbers, scored after 15 minutes through Mark Connolly.
He signed for Bolton from Wolves for a fee of up to 1m and scored with a low shot into the corner after a corner.
Starting XI: Aaron Grundy, Lee Woodyatt, Tom Walker, Wayne Maden, Andy Russell, Jamie Vermiglio, Jack Dorney, Steve Flitcroft, Mark Houghton, Jordan Stepian, Alex Porter
Subs: Shelton Payne (Dorney), Dale Whitham (Flitcroft), Jonathan Smith (Maden), Steve Burke (Stepian), Lee Shillito (Porter), Dean Porter (Grundy), Matt Jansen (Houghton), Tom Murphy (Walker)
