Chorley will be in the draw for the FA Trophy Quarter-Final after drawing 1 - 1 with Skrill Premier outfit Tamworth.

After a frustrating first half, Chorley took the lead in the 52nd minute after Adam Mather brilliantly finished from inside the penalty area.

But Tamworth hit back through new signing Nick Chadwick after the former Everton frontman sent Sam Ashton the wrong way from the penalty spot.

The Magpies could have won it late on but Darren Stephenson opted to shoot rather than square the ball to strike partner Josh Hine who was in acres of space just six-yards from goal.

More than 500 fans travelled to the Midlands to cheer on the Magpies with a replay to be played this Tuesday at Victory Park, kick off 7.45pm.

Boss Garry Flitcroft was delighted with his sides performance and felt they deserved to win, he said: “I thought again we were excellent today and I just feel for the lads that they didn’t win.

“We’ve got them in a replay and I don’t think they’ll fancy coming to our ground on a Tuesday night.”
