Chorley returned to FA Women’s Premier League Northern Division One action for the first time in 2015 with a trip across the River Mersey to Tranmere.

The game started with instant pressure from Tranmere putting Janet Dawson’s defence under the cosh.

But midway through the first period, the yellow and blacks regained control of the game.

They saw numerous chances created, although they were unable to convert.

Coaches Sonola and Leigh were happy with the half-time score and saw potential to win the fixture.

Ellie Hilton made her Chorley debut and made a fantastic contribution at right-back in the second half, providing opportunities for Chorley to take the three points.

Katherine Bonner controlled the game from the Chorley midfield but the game ended goalless.

Chorley head to the North East next Sunday to play
