Chorley cage fighter Dave Dillon will return to the octagon at a new weight as he bids to win a title.
Dillon will fight at middleweight against London’s Rufus King and the pair will battle it out for the EA title.
The fight will be five three minute rounds.
Dillon should have fought King last year but due to the latter pulling out the bout never went ahead.
But now the two will meet in Great Yarmouth on Saturday, August 30. Despite moving up a weight, Dillon has no plans to continue fighting at middleweight.
He said: “This is just a one off fighting at middleweight, usually I’ll fight at welterweight but I wanted the chance to fight for a title.
“I’ve got two more fights coming up with one in Bolton, after the one with King and they are at welterweight so I’ll be dropping back down for those two.”
Dillon has lost his last four fights and admits this could be his last chance to fight for a title.
He said: “The last few times I’ve had problems and I was ill, but now I’m looking forward to it and I’m training really hard.
“I’m taking it seriously and I’m definitely confident I can win.
“Rufus King has a great knockout ratio and I’ll have to be wary of that.
“But that’s all he can do , he just stands there and fights and I know I’ll be able to do different things to beat him.
“I am going to have to use my jujitsu skills against him and fight him on the floor, this is probable the last time I’ll fight for a title if I lose.”
Plenty of tickets have been sold already and a coach is running from the Railway pub, in Steeley Lane , Chorley, for the fight.
Tickets are priced at £30. And if you want to purchase a ticket then you can contact Dave on 07972603928.
