The Ribblesdale League continues to be a struggle for Euxton, who this weekend suffered another defeat at home to Salesbury.
Batting first, Euxton posted 176 in 40.5 overs – but crucially didn’t use the full 45 overs.
Opener Andy Winrow hit an excellent 74 including 11 fours but the start was overshadowed as Nick Dunn and Oliver Marsden fell early.
Overseas amateur Uli Van Duyker showed his quality and hit his first Euxton half century as the South African scored 53 off 72 balls.
But Van Duyker and Winrow fell and the Euxton batting collapse started.
Seven Euxton batsmen fell for only 14 runs as Euxton collapsed to 176.
Van Duyker again opened the bowling along with Marsden, but the latter was hit out of the attack as his two overs went for 20.
Andrew Emmerton replaced Marsden and had instant success as he removed Mudassa Panchbhaya for 10.
Emmerton then struck again as he removed Ian Rabagliati but that was as good as it got for Euxton.
Euxton tried four other bowlers but they struggled too, Van Duyker felt the force of Susantha Pradeep as he hit 70 off 46 deliveries.
The defeat leaves Euxton five points from safety .
n The 2nd XI had a convicning victory at Stacksteads.
Danny Curtis (49) and Andrew Stringfellow (39) ensured Euxton posted 129 off their 45 overs.
In reply, it was all about Richard Brown and Matthew Johnston.
The pair shared eight wickets, with Brown taking 4-20 and Johnston taking 4-14 .
Graham Hurst and Richard Newton claimed a wicket each as Euxton claimed the victory.
