Chorley Panthers Under-8s put in a top performance against big-hitting Thatto Heath.

Despite falling behind early on, Chorley responded with tries from Jake Bolton and Charlie McDonald.

The small Panthers squad battled hard but at the break they found themselves down five tries to four.

Chorley soon drew level with McDonald scoring his third try of the game,

McDonald and Bolton grabbed further tries but sloppy errors in the final few minutes saw Thatto Heath cross the whitewash to seal a 36-32 win.

n Despite a strong performance against table-toppers Newton Storm, the Under-14s slipped to a 24-0 defeat.

n A depleted Under-11s side were on the wrong end of a 42-12 scoreline, they still managed to play some impressive rugby against Littleborough.

Pace proved to be they key for Littleborough as they scored tries in each half.

Thomas Hunter scored both of Panthers’ tries.

n The Under-7s once again divided into two teams to play Oldham St Anne in two 20-minute matches.

Chorley took the first game with an 8-4 win, Riley Dervan countered Oldham’s first try before a full-length Andrew Hardaker effort sealed the win.

In the second game,

Panthers were overwhelmed and lost 24-0.

n A late flurry of late tries saw the Under-12s defeated 22-12 against Crosfields.

Matt Duckworth bagged the first try of the game amnd also grabbed his second early in the second half.

Chorley were faultless until the remaining 10 minutes, when tiredness kicked in along with injuries.

Silly handling errors saw Crosfields run in four rapid tries to break the Chorley hearts and sneak the points.
