Bradley, a past PGA North Region champion who tied first in the inaugural 1836 Tour at West Lancs last month, picked a cheque for £3,000.

Meanwhile, Alan Ingham and John McLaughlin won the George Birtill Memorial Trophy at the Hall o’th’ Hill club, where the former Chorley Guardian managing editor was honorary secretary and twice captain.

Robert Handford (pictured), a 57-year-old member at Oak Royal Golf and Country Club in Withnell, scored his first hole in one with a five iron at the 176-yard third.
