Preston White’s heroic efforts were in vain on Saturday as Euxton slumped to a seven-wicket defeat against Baxenden.
The impressive Aussie scored his first century of the season for Mark Winrow’s side .
White hit 101 off 132 balls including 11 fours and three sixes as Euxton posted 148-9 off 45 overs.
Oliver Marsden made early inroads into the Baxenden line-up by removing Kurt Smithison for four.
Matt Schofield then became Marsden’s second victim before he claimed his third as Mohammed Asif Iqbal fell for 15.
But that was the best it got for Euxton as Mark Rishton (57*) and David Mills (49*) saw Baxenden home in 33.3 overs.
n Brinscall had a weekend to forget as they were crushed by mid-table Salesbury.
Salesbury racked up a mighty 220-9 off their allocated overs before bowling Liam Winstanley’s side out for 68 in an emphatic 152-run victory.
Lee Burgess was the pick of the Brinscall bowlers as the medium pacer bowled unchanged taking 5-76 off 22 overs. Sam MacLachlan also took 2-90.
Phil Lowe (2) and Stuart Parker (9) both fell early and they were joined quickly back in the pavilion by Winstanley and MacLachlan.
Brinscall continued to lose wickets on a regular basis and only overseas amateur Zandre Cloete offered any resistance hitting 21.
Cloete was the only batsmen to make it into double figures as the tail failed to wag with youngster James McVitie (5) the final wicket to fall.
Susantha Pradeep bowled superbly for Salesbury, taking 8-24 off 12 overs.
