Chorley Panthers beat Irlam Hornets 19-16 in a game which was played in tribute to the late Mark Evans.
The home side were first on the scoresheet when captain Michael Jessiman ghosted through to go in under the sticks.
Hornets replied before centre Mark Lowe combined with his winger Alex Bridge for a great try and soon after the pair repeated the play, with young winger Bridge going in for his second try.
The second half saw neither team able to get over the whitewash but the home side enjoyed much of the possession and territory.
With minutes to go, young scrum-half Tom Sharp slotted over a one-pointer and this was followed with a penalty to secure the win.
n Panthers Under-15s drew 26-26 with Halton Farnworth Hornets.
Jay Bairstow, Ollie Thompson and Owen Farnworth were the try scorers.

n Panthers Under-14s lost their semi-final tie against a strong East Hull side.
Panthers started slowly and as a consequence were always on the back foot.
Tries from Joe Sharratt, Jake Pass and Dann Rollins pulled Panthers back into the game but East Hull finished strong with three additional tries to win 40-14.
n The Under-8s lost 32-16 against Clock Face, while the Under-7s defeated Folly Lane Lions 24-16.
Ben Dootson, Andrew Hardaker, Billy Stephens and Riley Dervan (3) were the try scorers.
n The Under-12s defeated Hindley 40-4 in the quarter-finals of the North West Counties Plate.
Tom Williams scored a hat-trick, with Charlie Mitchinson, Matthew Duckworth and Tom Greenhalgh also scoring.
