Skater Stacey's Olympic pledge

Chorley's Stacey Kemp and David King are determined to return to the Winter Olympic stage after making their debut at the Vancouver Games.

Kemp, 21, and King, 25, skated to a personal best score of 48.28 in Sunday's short programme at the Pacific Coliseum and followed it on Monday night with their free programme.

There were a couple of slight stumbles on landing as the British pair scored 91.66, just below their season's best recorded at the European Championships.

Their combined score of 139.94 left them in 16th place overall, one place higher than their world ranking as China's Xue Shen and Hongbo Zhao claimed gold with a score of 216.37.

And they are now determined to be back in 2014 - in Sochi, Russia.

"I just want to do this again," King said. "Being an Olympian is a great feeling and it gives us great strength.

"This has been a fantastic experience for us. It's a great Olympic programme, there's a lot of pressure on you to perform here and we did great, I'm really happy. "
