Coppull United 1 Fulwood Amateurs 1

COPPULL United extended their unbeaten run to eight games as they continue to mount a challenge for the league title.

Dave Haughton’s side started well and took the lead on 18 minutes when Dean Taylor headed home from a Danny Smith corner.

Fulwood were level on the half-hour mark when Philips headed into the net at the back post.

Coppull had chances to restore their lead and their best chance fell to Mike Hine in the last minute when he rattled the post.

The point puts the Blainscough Park side second in the table ahead of a gruelling derby with fellow challengers Charnock Richard.

Coppull: Walsh, Dennett, Gelder, Duckworth, Taylor, Thornton, Brewin, Hyde, Smith, Brickell, Walker. Subs: Hine, King, Hartley, Cooper.

- Elsewhere, Lostock St Gerards FC won 4-0 against Vickerstown.
