Wright praises Chorley manager
Ken Wright has praised Chorley's progress under Steve Waywell's steady hand.
The Magpies are flying high in the top eight after five wins in the last six, Waywell insisting Chorley can still make the end of season shoot-outs.
Chorley closed the gap with a midweek win at Rossendale, and the Magpies chairman is already looking ahead to their home clash with top dogs Lancaster City next Saturday.
"To be in the top half is a terrific effort, we'll be getting a nosebleed if this continues," said Wright.
"We've a huge game coming up against Lancaster and hopefully the run we've had will be reflected in the attendance at Victory Park.
"I'd love to see 400 fans through the turnstiles, it is our match of the season."
Steve Burke and Chris Amadi were on the mark at Dark Lane as the Magpies collected their 10th win of the campaign and Chorley take on AFC Fylde at Kellamergh Park tomorrow.
The chairman added: "I brought Steve in to steady the ship, give us some continuity, and we've made excellent progress.
"I've known Steve many years, he played under me when I managed Chorley. He's gone on to make a terrific manager.
"I was delighted when he applied for the job, he was the outstanding candidate."
