Chorley biker killed in crash

A Chorley motorcyclist has been killed in a road crash in Bolton Street.
Frank Roocroft, 78, suffered multiple injuries when his Honda Goldwing collided with a Subaru saloon on Bolton Street, Chorley at 4.10pm yesterday.

He was taken to Royal Preston Hospital but died a short time later.

Police say Mr Roocroft, of St James's Place, Chorley, had turned into Bolton Street near its junction with Leigh Street into the path of the Subaru, driven by a local man.

Bolton Street was closed for more than three hours after the collision.

Police are appealing for witnesses. Call Lancashire Police on 08451 253545.
