Man critical after bike crash

A motorcyclist is seriously ill in hospital after a crash.
The 63-year-old man, from Chorley, came off his bike at 2.30pm on Thursday on Rivington Road, Belmont.

He was taken by air ambulance to Royal Blackburn Hospital suffering multiple fractures and internal bleeding.

A Lancashire Police spokesman said: "There were no other vehicles involved.

"He's been thrown from his bike as he negotiated a left-hand bend."
