Find out where the Harris Museum’s amazing costume collection may be going next at a special talk at the institution on Monday.
From 1pm to 2pm, at the Flagmarket institution, the museum’s curator of decorative art will speak to visitors about the new Behind the Scenes exhibition which shows more of how the Harris cares for its great costume collection.
Listeners will also learn more about how the collection is maintained by the staff and the work that goes into keeping these historic items looking as though they were just stitched yesterday.
And there will also be insights into ideas for future research, exhibitions and conservation projects based around the collection.
Visitors can even have their own input into what the experts do next with the pieces.
Entry to the talk is free and there is no need to book in advance, just turn up on the day.
