A week from today Christmas will be over – and the nation will be looking for a way to work off those festive feasts.
Preston park rangers and the Friends of Haslam Park can help with their now-traditional Winter Wonderland Walk through the park and its surroundings on Friday, December 27, the day after Boxing Day.
Walkers meet up at the park’s pavilion at 1pm and enjoy a guided walk with the Friends of Haslam Park and the rangers through some of the best winter scenery in the area.
They can also see many of the improvement projects carried out by the Friends and the council in the last few years.
Around 30 or 40 walkers usually join in this refreshing free of charge two-hour stroll.
So work off those Christmas calories and explore the winter beauties of our city.
There is no need to book- just turn up.
