There a just a few tickets left for the production of ‘Grease’ by Chorley Youth Theatre, which opens on Wednesday, July 15.

Based on the hit musical film starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, the show is set at Rydell High in America and follows a group of students as they experience their final year of school.

Featuring songs such as ‘Sandy’, ‘You’re The One That I Want’ and ‘Summer Loving’, the show is on course to be another sellout for the youth group based at Chorley Little Theatre.

Ciaran O’Brien stars as Danny Zuko, the leader of the T-Birds gang, whose life changes when his summer fling, Sandy, starts at the school and joins up with the Pink Ladies group.

Their romance is rekindled, and soon they are zooming round in his souped-up car, Greased Lightning.

Rachel Offord stars as Sandy, leading a cast of more than 40 performers.

The show is directed by 18-year-old Youth Theatre chairman Sammi Offord, with choreography by Pearl Williams and production by Beth Frost.

There are five performances from July 15 to 18, including a Saturday matinee, and tickets are going fast.

Tickets are £10 for adults, £8 children, and £32 for a family of four. Call Malcolm’s Musicland on 01257 264362 to book, or call into the shop in Chapel Street.
