The Hoosiers are at Preston 53 Degrees in May to promote stellar new album The News From Nowhere.
The mid noughties chart-toppers produced the album themselves, and recorded in the East London warehouse where bassist Martin Skarendahl has amassed a vast collection of vintage recording equipment.
The band scored major chart success with a string of hits singles like Worried About Ray and Goodbye Mr A off their million selling debut album The Trick to Life. Follow up The Illusion of Safety sold less well but still spawned Top 20 singles.
The new material is, said lead singer Irwin Sparkes: “Done it on our own terms, and actually having a proper say in it. We have nothing to lose, but a lot to prove.”
The band play Preston’s 53 Degrees on Tuesday, May 20.
