Two of the finest rock tribute acts on the circuit will roll into Preston this month.

The Doors Alive break on through to the 53 Degrees stage next weekend, on Saturday, November 23.

Regarded as one of the most faithful tributes in the business, the band not only bear a striking resemblance to the original foursome, they also infuse that legendary band’s back catalogue with all the power and passion of the originals.

From ‘Riders On The Storm’ through ‘Light My Fire’, to ‘LA Woman’ and many more, in the words of Academy Music’s Jon Wing: “The Doors Alive is the closest thing you will get to being in the same room as the real thing.

“Close your eyes and you will be transported back to 1966 Whisky a Go-Go and the sounds that made The Doors one of the most revered bands of a great era in music.”

The following Friday an iconic outfit from rock’s recent history is honoured with an appearance by the UK Foo Fighters.

Having played festivals and shared bills with Zane Lowe, Feeder and Jake Bugg, the rockers (above) now launch their first major UK tour.

Driven by the adrenaline of performing live, and excellent fan feedback testifying they do their idols proud, the band’s set covers The Foo Fighters’ entire back-catalogue of platinum selling hits. The attention to detail is amazing – the gear, the look, and most importantly the distinctive sound.
