London’s Revere come to Preston’s Mad Ferret tomorrow for a night of mesmerising vocals and beautiful strings.
The eight piece draw on influences from Joy Division to Ennio Morricone and Nick Cave and his Bad Seeds to create a euphoric but melancholic sound all of their own.
They embroider the traditional band instruments of edgy guitars, reminiscent of outfits like Magazine, and bass and drums with an unusual combination of violin, cello and piano.
Their rich sound has earned them comparisons with everyone from Everything Everything to the Maccabees, from Jeff Buckley to Bon Iver. They top the bill at the Fylde Road pub tomorrow night with support from Heat Vs Light and The Kaams. And Preston band Cry Baby Aeroplanes will open the show at 8pm.
