Stand-up comedy legend and star of Eight Out Of Ten Cats Sean Lock is driving his purple van North next weekend.
Bespectacled beligerent Lock will share his darkly surreal worldview at Preston Guild Hall on Saturday, November 2.
Long considered one of the UK’s keenest comic minds, Lock’s latest touring show ‘Purple Van Man’ has been hailed as among the comic’s finest work so far.
His first tour since 2010, a performance at the London Apollo later next month is to be recorded and released on DVD – quite possibly just in time for Christmas, who knows.
This has been an eventful tour for Lock, after he fell badly ill in March and had to cancel a string of shows. He told list.co.uk: “I had a stomach virus and cancelled Colchester, Swindon and Glasgow.
“I’d had root canal treatment the week before and don’t know if the dentist washed his hands properly.
“I think he’d gone straight from the bog and straight in to work on my teeth.”
Tickets £22. Call Guild Hall box office on 0844 844 7710.
