Family favourite Mother Goose is the pantomime treat served up by Preston Musical Comedy Society for this festive season.

Written by Alan P Frayn, this traditional panto, which opens at Preston Playhouse on Thursday December 12, is set in Gooseland where the young Princess Priscilla has to earn her “wings.”

To do this, she has to win earthly “eggs-perience” and learn the ways of mortals.

Only then can she truly come of age and assume her full Royal duties as a member of the Magic Goose Royal Family.

All goes well at first as the kindly Mother Goose welcomes the Princess into her home, despite her poverty.

But when the gentle Mother Goose - not to mention the Evil Squire - get a scent of her untold riches, what will happen?

Will the good Fairy Fortune prevail or will the Demom of Discontent win his covetted prize of “Baddie of the Year”?

Presented by the players of the acclaimed Preston Musical Comedy Society, who have won multiple NODA Awards for their yearly festive shows at the Playhouse, you should book early as some shows are already sold out for this hugely popular panto.

The pantomime runs from Thursday December 12 to Sunday December 15, then breaks for a day before continuing from Tuesday December 17 to Sunday December 22 December.

Performances each night start at 7.30pm except for the final two days Saturday and Sunday December 21 and 22 where the group perform two matinee shows each day, beginning at 1pm and 5pm.

Tickets are £8 or £10 each with a family ticket at £32. Group bookings get one free ticket for every 10 purchased.

For tickets, call the Preston Musical Comedy Society on 01772 721835 or the Playhouse box office on the evening of your chosen performance on 01772 252288.
