Showzam! – Blackpool’s now annual celebration of showbiz opens next week and runs until February 23.

The line up of shows and acts features more than 70 performers during the 10-day festival.

One of the features will be the specially-commissioned No Fit State Circus, which will perform regular shows throughout the day for the whole festival.

The venue, Showzam! Central, is also the hub of the festival with sideshows and entertainment along with the main information point.

Showzam! 2014 is focussed on entertaining a younger audience and children’s favourite Sooty is expected to be hugely popular when he hosts two shows at the Opera House.

Meet the Hogwallop Family is another for the family, at the Grand Theatre. Specially commissioned for Showzam! Lost in Translation Circus showcase world class circus skills around a grotesque family who live in a bizarrely funny world.

At Blackpool Tower Circus is B – an original theatrical
circus show that blends bubbles with dance, juggling, acrobatics, sand-magic and special effects.

For the centrepiece Carnival Ball, in the world-famous Tower Ballroom on Saturday February 15, 1950s Rock ‘n’ Roll will be the theme for the evening.

At Blackpool Pleasure Beach activities and attractions range from a Face-Painting Festival and Skate It sessions with Blackpool’s Dancing on Ice star Katie Stainsby, to acting, magic and creative workshops.

Michael Jordan’s High Jinx Magic and Illusion also returns to The Horseshoe.
