Tears of joy as outstanding grades send Corpus pupils off to college
One of a number of pupils with a set of outstanding grades was Georgia Stewart who achieved GCSE grade 9s in English, English literature, geography, history and religious studies.
There were tears of joy for the deputy head girl who was amazed by her success and said: "‘I was quite nervous about coming into school, but I was determined to be open minded about my results because I could not have worked any harder.’"

Hide AdGeorgia is going to Cardinal Newman College to complete English literature, history and politics at A Level.
Former Head Boy Ban Van Parys was also proud of his top grades in all subjects, including grade 9 in history and
religious studies, complementing them with four grade 8s and two grade 7s. Ben’s results will help him to pursue a career in law. He will be continuing his education at Cardinal Newman College, studying law, ancient history and philosophy.
There were grade 9s in performing arts for Hannah Cogle and former head girl Ellie Allen . Hannah also achieved excellent grades overall with another grade 9 in English literature and grade 8s in both history and religious studies.

Hide AdAfter receiving his results, Ian Ramsay said: "I wasn’t nervous, but I began to question myself. Have I done enough? I was relieved to see my hard work has paid off and I am really pleased with my grades."
Ian received two grade 9s in English literature and religious studies and received seven top grades for
his remaining subjects. Ian will go on to Cardinal Newman Colleg.
Also celebrating top results were Daniella Law,Naomi Green, Kobe Gregory, Fatima Haider and Calen Kirkpatrick.

Hide AdHeadteacher David Hubbard said: "We are very proud of our pupils and pleased that they have been rewarded with grades that reflect their hard work and determination to succeed.
"Our Year 11 pupils have coped extremely well with what has been a very difficult situation for everyone and they are now in a strong position to begin the next phase of their lives. We wish them every success.
