A wanted man from Chorley was arrested at a McDonald’s in Blackburn following multiple police appeals.

Connor Cottam was wanted by police in connection with two investigations into criminal damage and threats to kill in Chorley.

After giving the 27-year-old “multiple chances to hand himself in,” police confirmed on Friday (August 19) he had finally been arrested.

“Connor Cottam has felt the coldness of PC Webster’s steel as he [was] arrested just before [he was] about to indulge in a McDonald’s in Blackburn,” a spokesman for Lancashire Police said.

“You can’t escape the force of the Chorley and South Ribble Taskforce.

“Cottam is currently en route to custody.”

Sgt Harrison, of Chorley and South Ribble Task Force, added: “We will find you and it may be at the most inconvenient of times.”

Cottam’s arrest followed a similar incident in May.
