Hutton caravan fire spreads to neighbouring businesses

Eight fire engines were called to a fire at Orchard Farm in Ratten Lane, off Liverpool Road, at 8.14pm.
On arrival, fire crews found a static caravan 'well-alight' and spreading to other business units on the rural site.

Hide AdThe aerial ladder platform was called to the farm to help tackle the spread, whilst fire crews fought the blaze with jets and hose reels.
Some units have been damaged by the fire, but quick-thinking fire crews were able to save them from complete destruction.
Thick clouds of black smoke could be seen rising from the site.
No injuries have been reported and the cause of the fire is now under investigation.

Hide AdA fire service spokesman said: "Eight fire engines and one aerial ladder platform were called to a fire involving a static caravan that spread to neighbouring business units in Ratten Lane, Hutton.
"Firefighters managed to prevent the fire from causing too much damage to the business units and they extinguished the fire using jets and hose reels.
"No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation."
